Opportunities

Full Board Recognition:
At the end of each calendar year, participating trustees'
files
are evaluated to determine if they qualify for recognition at
one of the levels:
When a majority of trustees on the library board have
achieved Level One, the Board itself will be recognized:
Level One: Outstanding
Board requires a majority of the
trustees from the library to reach Level One Recognition.
(75 points)
Level Two:
Meritorious Board occurs when all trustees
have reached Level One and the board has completed the
self-evaluation process included in IN the Public Trust.
(120 points)
Level Three:
Exemplary Board is reached when a Board
at Level Two accumulates 150 points and supports at
least one other board by hosting or leading training.
(150 points)
Core requirements:
-Individual or institutional membership in ILF (25 points)
-Attendance at Trustee Day at the ILF Annual Conference
(25 points)
-Holding an ILTA office or an ILF office representing ILTA
(25 points)
Elective options:
-Attendance at an ILF District Meeting or other conference
(10 points for full day)
-Attendance at an American Library Association conference
(Annual, Midwinter, Division) (10 points for each full day
in attendance)
-Presenting a program at an ILF conference or other event
(10 points)
-Service on an ILTA or ILF committee representing ILTA
(5 points)
