2008-2009 YHBA Winners!
Since its inception in 1974, thousands of Hoosier school children have participated in AIME's Young Hoosier Book Award Program each year. This year, 68,180 children from 359 schools met their reading goal of qualifying to vote for their favorite book in at least one of the award's three categories. The YHBA Committee is pleased to announce that our students have selected the following books as the winners of the 2008-2009 Young Hoosier Book Awards:

Picture Book Winner: Bad Kitty written and illustrated by Nick Bruel

Intermediate: The Ghost’s Grave written by Peg Kehret

Middle Grades: The Lightning Thief written by Rick Riordin
