Directions:
There is some major construction in Plainfield at I
70 and SR 267. You may find it easier to use the following directions
from the east and from the west.
-From I-70 east from Terre Haute and Greencastle areas
Follow I-70 to Monrovia exit. Exit at Monrovia and turn left. Follow
SR 39 to US 40 in Belleville. Turn right at the light and stay on US
40 east through downtown Plainfield.
If you are going directly to Plainfield Public Library, turn right onto
Simmons Street after going through downtown Plainfield. Follow this
street to the library, which is on the left just before Stafford Road.
If you are going to a hotel near I-70 and SR 267, turn right onto SR
267 through the construction zone and follow the signs to get to the
hotel.
-From I-70 west from Indianapolis
Follow I-70 west of I-465 to the "Six Points
Road" interchange and be in the right lane to merge onto Six Points
Road. This is a new interchange that parallels with the airport. You
need to merge onto Six Points Road and get into the right lane. You
will be crossing approximately 4 or 5 lanes of traffic. Take the Six
Points Road exit for Plainfield, which is the exit to the right, closest
to the airport. Turn right off this exit and go to Stafford Road. (You
may also see a road sign that says Ronald Reagan Hwy. This is the same
as Six Points Road.) Once you get to Stafford Road, make a left and
follow this road to the Plainfield Public Library.
If you are going to a hotel, follow Stafford Road to
SR 267 construction area and make a left onto SR 267. Follow the construction
signs for the entrances to hotels near the I-70 and SR 267 area.
