more special interest division or sections.
Divisions
Divisions sponsor programs at the
ILF Annual Conference and district conferences, hold independent conferences
and workshops on their topic of interest, and contribute articles on
their topic of interest to ILF publications.
- Bibliographic
Instruction/User Education
- The ILF Bibliographic Instruction/User Education
Division (BIUE) is for those interested in promoting bibliographic
instruction in Indiana.
- Children & Young
People
- The ILF Children & Young People's Division (CYPD)
encourages, develops, and promotes an understanding of the challenge,
growth, and change occuring in children's and young people's library
services.

- Community Outreach
The ILF Community Outreach Division (CO) promotes
library services to the community such as outreach, bookmobile operations,
programming, and adult education.
Distance Learning
The purpose of the Distance Learning Division is
to promote and support the delivery of library services for distance
and off-campus students and faculty in Indiana institutions, through
formal and informal channels such as discussions, programs, and
electronic communication, and is consistent with the purpose of
the Indiana Library Federation.
- Fundraising and
Resource Development Division
The ILF Fundraising and Resource Development Division
(FRRD) provides a forum for broad discussions of fund raising and
development issues within Indiana libraries. The Fund Raising and
Resource Development division will provide opportunities for library
workers and supporters from all types of libraries throughout the
state to share development ideas, materials and solutions.

The ILF Human Resources Division (HR) provides a
forum for the gathering and sharing of information about legal issues,
current trends, and best practices in key areas of human resources
management applicable to all types and sizes of libraries in Indiana.
- Interlibrary Loan and Circulation
- The ILF Interlibrary Loan and Circulation Division
(ICD) provides a forum for the gathering and sharing of information
about current trends, best practices, and legal issues in key areas
of Interlibrary Loan and Circulation applicable to all types and sizes
of libraries in Indiana.
- Library Information & Technology

The ILF Library Information & Technology Division
(LIT) connects those with common challenges of new technologies,
from circulation systems to controlling compact discs.
- Marketing
- The ILF Marketing Division (MKT) encourages and stimulates
the understanding and application of strategies that promote the effective
and creative use of library resources. Discussion and training examines
how to determine what our customers want and provide services that
meet those needs.

- Media Resources
The ILF Media Resources Division (MR) provides for
the discussion and exchange of ideas and information between people
working with and interested in audio-visual materials.
- Mentoring
- The Mentoring Division furthers ILF's purpose of
professional support and development by providing mentoring to individuals
in the Indiana Library Community.
- Middle Managers
- The ILF Middle Managers Division (MM) provides a
forum for the networking and support of librarians working in middle
management positions.
Reference
- The ILF Reference Division (REF) promotes efficient
information services through continuing education programs and engenders
cooperation among reference personnel.

- The ILF Small and Medium Size Libraries Division
(SAMS) seeks to help small libraries provide better service to their
communities by providing a network for the discussion of common problems
and their solutions. The division also helps small and medium size
libraries keep abreast of current information and ideas in library
management.

continuing education, scholarships, and professional development programs
that encourage, enlighten, motivate, and enrich support staff in libraries.

on Women in Indiana Libraries
- The ILF Women in Indiana Libraries Division (WO)
supports the role of women in Indiana libraries and represents the
diversity of their interests with the Federation.
