Young Hoosier Book Award

Congratulations to the Young Hoosier Book Award winning T-shirt entry this year. The winning design is a shared effort by Yamana Uno and Lauren Ooley of River Birch Elementary School in Avon. Their sponsor is Anna Rolwing, their librarian.

The winner of the Picture Book category is Shark vs. Train by Chris Barton and Tom Lichtenheld with 9,410 votes. There were a total of 45,835 votes in this category.



The winner of the Intermediate Book category is Because of Mr. Terupt by Rob Buyea with 1,559 votes. There were a total of 7,936 votes in this category.






The winner of the Middle Grades Book category is Out of My Mind by Sharon M. Draper with 384 votes. There were 2,551 votes in this category.
