Since the summer of 2016, Indiana Library Federation has been engaging members and stakeholders in a strategic visioning process to identify best ways for ILF to advance libraries for the future. A Steering Committee is making recommendations to the ILF Board in 2017.

2016 - Laying the foundation for visioning

2016 ILF Work Plan

On 8/11/16, the ILF Board of Directors approved the ILF Work Plan 2016, which laid the foundation for our strategic visioning in 2017. The Progress Report shows accomplishments as of December 2016.

  1. Improve office infrastructure and processes;
  2. Plan for changes to ILF’s legal organizing documents and governance;
  3. Engage members and initiate strategic planning;
  4. Initiate a comprehensive training, meeting, conferencing and professional development plan; and
  5. Improve internal and external communications, transparency and accountability.
