Join this session to learn about Ways to Communicate your Public Library Budget in a post-HEA1343 environment.  How do you translate the budget numbers to the community impact of your library services? How do you simplify a complex budgeting process for decision-makers who don't have time to read all the background? How do you enlist your Library Board members as your budget ambassadors to your appointing bodies?

There is no cost for ILF Members  to attend this or other virtual exchanges. (Other sessions coming soon, i.e. on Criminal History Checks and more.)

What is a virtual exchange? ILF offers Virtual Exchanges, where members engage in dialogue with experts and with each other from the comfort of your home or work computer.  Most sessions will start with a more formal slide presentation of content where we ask you to hold your questions or provide them in the chat box. Then we move to the interactive exchange where we ask participants to turn on their cameras for collegial Q&A and exchange.

Technical requirements - Registrants are emailed a link to open on a computer or cell phone with data plan OR a telephone number with login id to call. If your internet speed is slow, you might watch online and call in for best sound quality.

Virtual Exchange Etiquette - We ask you to mute yourself while not speaking. If calling in on a telephone, please do not place us on hold.

Participation - Virtual exchanges are intended to engage more of our members in dialogue with each other without having to drive to a face-to-face meeting.
