Nominate a person, library or organization deserving of recognition due to their outstanding commitment to library excellence. Each fall, the Indiana library community recognizes ILF personal, institutional, and trustee members, as well as others, who have contributed to the excellence of Indiana libraries.  


Make sure to check out our NEW "Everyone Counts" Award!  “Everyone Counts” Award (with 2020 Theme) honors and recognizes any personal or institutional member who or that has demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion in policies, practices, programs, and/or initiatives. ILF encourages creativity in responses to this pilot award, which may evolve into a permanent award. Check the criteria for more information.


Please review criteria carefully as the committee will not follow up on incomplete applications. 

  • Nominees (except where noted) must be members of the Indiana Library Federation for the year in which they are nominated.
  • Nominators are solely responsible to ensure that all paperwork and letters of recommendation are turned in before the deadline. 
  • Paperwork may be scanned and emailed to the ILF office to Tisa Davis at

The ILF Awards Honors and Scholarship Committee reviews all nomination packets in July and makes recommendations to the ILF Board of Directors in August, for awards in the fall.

A complete nomination packet will include:

  • An online Nomination Form (completed and submitted). 
  • Additional documentation per criteria (i.e. letters, portfolio). Priority will be given to nominations that follow the format suggested in the criteria and/or following sample format for individual or institutional nominees. 

Submit nomination packets to by June 30. Please remember to submit any additional documentation per criteria to Tisa Davis at by deadline.
