Front cover of ILF Strategic Vision document

We envision a future where…
….communities strongly support, value, and utilize libraries
….libraries are highly responsive to the changing needs of their communities
….people find and use information effectively and ethically
….libraries lead Hoosiers into the future information environment
….libraries initiate and implement innovations
….library staff have the skills and knowledge to provide exceptional service
….libraries and library staff are served and led by a strong, stable, and vibrant state-wide organization

View the ILF Board-approved ILF Strategic Vision 2017-2022 . Each year, the ILF board assesses progress and changes in the environment. See the 2020 Work Plan and 2020 Goals and Calendar, as we coordinate and align all of our work toward shared vision.

Progress Reports: Indiana Library Federation routinely reviews quantitative and qualitative measures toward our goals, as well as input from members and stakeholders. Check out our results below. With the highest level of transparency, we also post tax returns and provide regular updates in our Focus and Advocacy Update e-newsletters.

Background: After engagement with over 750 members and library stakeholders, the ILF Board of Directors approved the ILF Strategic Vision 2017-2022  and  ILF Work Plan 2017-2019  on August 10, 2017.

We invite you to join us in the efforts to advance library services for the benefit of Indiana residents. Contact to the office or Board to learn how.
