Registration
When registering, we recommend the following:
- Individual, Student & Retired Members: Log into your individual ILF account to register and receive the appropriate discount.
- Non-Members & Institutional Members: Submit guest registrations and apply the institutional member discount code (if applicable) on the second page of registration.
- Student Members: Select the student registration option before checkout to avoid being charged the full rate.
- Presenters: ILF Annual Conference Presenters receive a discounted conference rate. Presenters will be notified if selected by late June and will be sent a discount code for registering for the conference. If you have already registered for the conference and are selected to present, the ILF team will apply the discount to your account.

Sam Helmick
2025–2026 ALA President
Sam Helmick (they/them) serves as the 2025–2026 President of the American Library Association. They have previously served on the ALA Executive Board and as President of the Iowa Library Association.
Helmick is a 2016 Emerging Leader and an author, consultant, and instructor focused on social media marketing and graphic design.

John Chrastka
Executive Director, EveryLibrary
John Chrastka is co-founder and executive director of EveryLibrary, the national political action committee for libraries, and the EveryLibrary Institute, a public policy and tax policy think tank for libraries. Since 2012, EveryLibrary has supported public libraries in numerous funding negotiations, politicized challenges, and over 165 election days, winning over $2.8 billion in stable tax money for libraries. Its SaveSchoolLibraians.org campaigns help ensure the future of school library work. Their FightForTheFirst.org is a platform for anti-censorship organizing in over 145 communities. The EveryLibrary Institute supports funding-focused research and training for library leaders and outreach to the public about librarians.

Call for Presenters
Interested in being a presenter at the 2026 Annual Conference? We encourage you to submit a program proposal and share your knowledge with colleagues from across the state.
You do not need to be an ILF member to submit a proposal; however, you will need to create or log into a profile in our system.

ILF Cancellation Policy
Below are the cancellation refund timelines. Full conference refunds outside of the timelines listed below are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. ILF understands that circumstances may arise and will work with you whenever possible. These policies help ensure responsible event planning and financial sustainability.
- May 19 – September 27: Full refunds are available for registration cancellations.
- September 28 – November 1: Cancellations are refunded at 50% of the total registration cost. Unpaid invoices remain due upon cancellation.
- After November 2: Registrations are non-refundable. Emergency situations will be reviewed upon request.
To transfer a registration to another individual, please contact us. Transfers are permitted throughout the registration period; however, requests after November 7 are not guaranteed.
